To encourage innovation and enterprise within the local community, Inventures is sponsoring Bath Spa University’s business plan competition 2009. This competition, targeted at Bath Spa University students, encourages entries from individuals who are generating business plans. These plans could originate from students’ educational studies or from their entrepreneurial ambitions to develop their own business.

Inventures generously provided the top award, a £1,000 prize for enterprise. This prize money will go a great way to support a talented student’s business ambitions.

Susan Cherrett, Business Support Manager for Bath Spa University, said: “We are delighted that Inventures has provided this support. The competition is designed to stimulate the minds of our students, encouraging them to handle scenarios with a professional business approach, thus preparing them for the world of work. To support the competition entries, we will be providing a series of workshops and a six week short course to develop students’ business acumen.”
